Arts for the Future (Bacc for the Future) is a campaign that brings awareness to the eBacc and its effects on the education system.

One effect the EBacc has on schools is a pressure to focus their efforts, and funding, into providing STEM subjects for their students. These do not include the arts. The EBacc could potentially result in the abolition of creative subjects from primary and secondary education countrywide, despite the huge benefits that the arts have on developing minds, not to mention the UK’s economy.

The main message I worked towards communicating was: The arts have the power to change and shape young people’s lives.

I used 4-layer CMYK bitmaps to visualise the transformative effect the arts have on young people, by having the editorial change gradually from being dark (life without the arts) to bright and colourful (life with the arts) over a 28 page span.
